| Encourage Your Child To Read! $50 Monthly Essay Award! |
Welcome to the Circle of Friends Christian Association's Academic Challenge & Personal
Awareness Reading Program for children ages 10-15. Our suggested monthly reading
addresses some of todays diffcult issues facing todays youth - peer pressure,
anger management, self image and esteem issues. The program also helps to
strenghten reading comprehension and writing skills.
This month's suggested reading is Battle Field of the Mind for Kids by Joyce Myers.
Encourage and assist your child to the library or local bookstore to read this
stimulating thought provoking book for young people.
The following club members receive monthly academic grant awards based on the
best test scores (test includes essays,multiple choice, and true and false questions). Grants are awarded based on monthly membership status.
Gold Member winners receive a $50 cash award. To be a gold member,
1. Read the suggested book of the month,
2. Take the monthly comprehension test ($9.95 testing fee)
3. Invite 2 friends to join the reading club,
Silver Member winners receive a $25 cash award. To be a silver member,
1. Read the suggested book of the month,
2. Take the monthly comprehension test ($9.95 testing fee)
3. Invite 1 friend to join the reading club
Crystal Member winners receive a $10 cash award. To be a crystal member,
1. Read the suggested book of the month,
2. Take the monthly comprehension test ($9.95 testing fee)
Test are sent out on the 25th of each month and due back in on the 28th of
the month. Test scores are available by the 10th of the following month.
